JSR Pig production is one of the largest pig businesses in the UK, with 8000 high health nucleus and multiplication sows supplying breeding stock to JSR Genetics. JSR Farms have over 3000 commercial sows producing pigs for slaughter. The combined pig production operation markets over 100,000 pigs per year to both customers and processors.
Our Production
Efficient
We produce a high percentage of rations through our mill and mix feed operation based at JSR's central storage facility near Driffield. This allows us to incorporate our own high quality home-grown wheat, barley and rye; increasing our efficiency and improving our carbon footprint.
Investment
JSR are constantly investing in high quality pig rearing buildings across the UK. We are also avid supporters of third-parties investing in pig finishing buildings. JSR and our partners facilities are helping us accelerate improvements in our business efficiency along with maintining excellent levels of animal welfare.
